Private / Semi-Private Lessons with Rose
open to All Ages (3 to 99+)
Specialized Instruction to Meet Your Dance Needs
Rose is happy to offer private (one-on-one)* belly dance lessons to students who prefer more individualized attention and want to advance their skills faster than group class training allows. Perhaps you are preparing for your bridal shower, bachelorette party, wedding, or other special event and want to polish up your dance skills to wow your guests. Or maybe you are a dedicated student, but prefer one-on-one attention and have specific dance styles or steps you want to focus on. Whatever the reason, Rose loves teaching private students to help them delve deep into technique, as well as choreography where requested. No prior dance training required.
If you'd like to book Rose for private lessons, please request a quote here, or call or text 312.248.4828.

Class Structure for Private Lessons
-
Rose's “belly dance” -- aka “Raqs Sharqi” (رقص شرقي), meaning “Eastern Dance” in Arabic -- lessons begin with a thorough review of proper alignment to prevent injury, and a fun, full-body warm-up that will introduce some Sharqi movements and styling.
-
For private students, Rose will select specific moves to break down and drill, depending on the given student's needs and preferences.** Rose will help you weave these moves together in short combinations, focusing on both technique and artistry, naturally flowing with the music, briefly noting its origin and meaning, to enhance the authenticity of your dance.
-
Class ends with deep stretching and a cool-down to gently increase flexibility and prevent soreness -- leaving you ready and excited for another day of dancing!
-
It is recommended to take private lessons on a weekly, or semi-weekly, basis in order to build your skills week to week in the most efficient way. However, if your schedule does not allow for this, please let Rose know, as she can work with your schedule as needed.
Please note: If you would like Rose to create a choreography specifically for you to learn as a private student, please let her know when you contact her about scheduling private lessons (request a quote here or call/text 312.248.4828).
*Rose also offers semi-private lessons to 2 dancers at a time; that is, you-plus-one. Please let her know if you would like a private lesson for just you and a friend (special pricing applies). Or if you would like Rose to teach a small private group class just for you and your friends, please request a quote here.
